Another day......

I know this will come across as a "Racist Comment" but I am getting so sick of illegal's here in my county.  The days of being "Paid what you are worth" are gone.  As a Contractor, I have watched prices go down in my county here in Colorado immensely over the past couple of years and the Illegal or "Migrant Worker" population grow ten fold, it is getting hard to make a living and provide for your family, as I am sure it is for them as well, but if you are going to come to this country then do it right!  1. Learn the Damn Language! Don't expect us to learn your language and post signs you can read. 2. Apply for citizenship, $99 to start your application to get the benefits. 3. Pay your damn bills so everyone else doesn't have to suffer with inflated costs or like they are doing at our hospital here, even if you have insurance, you are REQUIRED to make some form of payment prior to services being rendered due to non-payment by illegals(quote from a billing advocate for hospital)  There was a rally here in my town of around 5,000 people for Migrant Workers, about 500 showed up but refused to give their names to the paper for fear of "unwanted repercussions" from anyone in the community!  BULLSHIT!  They are fearful of being deported, if they are trying to become an American Citizen then they have nothing to hide by giving their names, they work so I know they can afford the $99 to become Legal so I just don't understand why they won't do it?  We are so far in the "Backwoods" that we are off any radar from the INS or ICE but I would think that close to 10% of our population are Migrant Workers here without a VISA would throw up a Red Flag somewhere?  What about the Contractors that hire these people, maybe I should just drop a phone call to the IRS and let them know they have people working for some of these companies that are being paid under the table and not paying taxes?  Let the IRS come in and wipe the Contractor out and then maybe that would bring in ICE to finish the job?  I had a recent experience in Wal-Mart that pissed me off thoroughly, I asked a lady named "Veronica" where something was and her reply was "No habla ingles" WTF!  So now I have to know how to speak Spanish to shop for something?  IS that not a question on an application, Can you speak English???  Which led me to write a letter to the Corp Office concerning this issue.  I was called by the Operations Manager from this location stating that "She normally works in the back", Whoopie!! Keep her off the sales floor if she cannot speak the damn language!  Did the Ops Manager offer any other type of suggestions or what she would do to correct this problem, fast forward 2 days later when "Veronica" was out in Electronics stocking shelves.  So the answer is HELL NO!!  I am guessing that I am fighting a losing battle these days and I refuse to give up, yet I just don't know what I can do anymore.  You fight for everything you get in this life and fight to get and keep a job.  You drop your prices more than 45% and spend more time at work just to make ends meet.  Maybe I should look into changing my name to Jiminez so I can get a whole bunch of free stuff and just quit paying my bills and demand that people put me first because I have only lived in this state for 4years.  I love my town, the people in it, for the most part, and don't want to leave it.  Hell everywhere I go I see it happening in those towns as well, but does the Government do anything about it, HA!    So all I can say is .....Really??
